Homemade Pizza Dough

Pizza dough had always been in my list of recipes to learn. I took a class on how to prepare your pizza dough at home. It turns out that it is not that difficult, you just need time. Follow this easy recipe below and say goodbye to pizza delivery!


Ingredients:


250 grams of flour

140 grams of warm water

12.5 grams of yeast

1/2 teaspoon of sugar

1/2 tablespoon of salt

2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil


Preparation:


In a large bowl crumble your yeast. Then pour the warm water on top, add the sugar and let it stand until the mixture becomes foamy.


In a separate bowl measure the flour and add the salt.


Once your yeast mixture is foamy start adding the dry ingredients little by little and stirring with a spoon until it is all integrated. Add the olive oil and start kneading with your hand until the dough is smooth with no cracks.


Form a ball with the dough and place it in a bowl, cover tightly with plastic film and let it rise in a warm place for at least 8 hours.


Preheat the oven at 250°C.


Once the dough is ready we must roll it. Place your dough in a lightly floured surface and start spreading your pizza dough with your fingers from the inside out until you have the desired shape and thickness.


Transfer the dough to a baking pizza tray or a ceramic pizza stone and add your favorite toppings.


Bake for a maximum of 15-20 minutes.
