Nut clusters

I made these variety of nut clusters using pistachios, salted almonds, and hazelnuts for the holiday season to share with my friends and family. With just a few ingredients you have these delicious chocolate delights that will make everyone have a smile this Christmas.

Not only are they easy to make, but who doesn´t love dark chocolate and nuts!

Ingredients:

200 grams of roasted pistachios (unsalted)

200 grams of roasted hazelnuts

200 grams of roasted almonds (salted)

3 bars of high quality dark chocolate (270 grams per bar)

Coarse sea salt

Preparation:

1. Prepare 3 trays with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Melt one of the chocolate bars in bain-marie. Start by adding water to a saucepan and place over low heat. Break the chocolate into pieces and place in a heat-safe bowl (metal or glass). Once the water is simmering place the bowl on top of the saucepan and let the chocolate melt. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn´t touch the water. Stir occasionally until it has completely melted.

3. Remove from the heat and let it stand for 3 minutes, then add the roasted hazelnuts and mix well.

4. Use a spoon to drop a small mound of chocolate-nut mix onto the lined tray. It will make about 20 clusters.

**Repeat all steps using the salted almonds.

5. Place the tray in the refrigerator to chill until the chocolate is set, about 45 to 60 minutes.

For the pistachio clusters:

Follow step 3 to melt the chocolate. Once melted, pour the chocolate onto the prepared tray with the parchment paper. Evenly spread the chocolate into a thin layer. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios and top with sea salt. Then follow step 5. Once the chocolate is hard cut into squares or break into uneven pieces.

6. Remove the trays from the refrigerator and gently remove from the parchment paper. The clusters can be stored in an airtight container or you can start to fill your mini holiday bags with the variety of nut clusters.
